Prestigious Italian car manufacturer uses F1-derived technology for Gallardo and Murciélago vehicles.

Automotive engineering specialists BERU F1 Systems has announced that it is supplying its award-winning digital tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) DigiTyre to Lamborghini for the Gallardo and Murciélago platforms. The safety feature, developed using BERU F1 Systems’ extensive motorsport experience, is standard fit on US Gallardo and Murciélago models to comply with the TREAD act. (The TREAD act makes it mandatory for passenger vehicles and light trucks sold in the USA to be fitted with a pressure monitoring system).

The new NHS e-records system aims to eliminate filing errors in patient records, but mandatory paper-based medical information still remains prone to misfiling

According to the National Patient Safety Agency, over forty-thousand errors were made last year in the NHS, many of which were due to filing inaccuracies. To eliminate this problem, GP surgeries and hospitals will be adopting the NHS’s new 6.8 billion pound e-record system for patient information. However, even with the new e-records system in place, health professionals must still rely upon the filing accuracy of medical information stored on paper to treat patients safely.
