Independent tests demonstrate significant reductions in underbonnet temperatures possible using flame-sprayed ceramic coating   Print

With surface temperature reductions of up to 136ºC, reduced heat, weight and package space in OE, aftermarket and classic car applications  

Independent testing conducted by one of the UK’s leading automotive test and development centres has confirmed that the use of advanced flame-sprayed ceramic coatings can reduce heat transfer by up 26.7 percent, leading to a surface temperature reduction at the exhaust manifold of up to 136ºC.  The technology, developed by specialist coating company Zircotec, offers not only benefits to performance and classic car owners looking to reduce heat but also to engineers working on new vehicles who struggle to successfully package the increasing number of heat-sensitive components in a restricted space.

Caparo to be India's largest automotive technology company by 2009   Print

Global technology firm Caparo, founded by NRI (Non Resident Indian) businessman Lord Swraj Paul, will exhibit at Auto Expo (New Delhi, January 10 - 17) for the first time this year. Led by Hon Angad Paul (CEO), the company intends to be India’s largest automotive technology supplier by 2009.  Caparo will also show its breathtaking hypercar, the T1, which uses a mix of Formula 1 and road-car technology to create the ultimate track-biased production car.

Delphi will demonstrate mobile electronics in eight show vehicles at CES   Print

Delphi will host a media reception and open house on future mobile technologies on Monday, Jan. 7 at 3:30 p.m.

LAS VEGAS
– Delphi Corp. will demonstrate its latest vehicle electronics technologies at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show, Jan. 7-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), North Hall (#5206).
