Parts distribution specialist XPart has helped raise £3,000 for automotive charity BEN at the Iliffe Cup Golf Day, held at Coventry Golf Club. The event saw eight teams from XPart, Capital Petroleum, Ricardo and Walkerpack compete for the Iliffe Cup, the longest running golf competition in the automotive industry.

Leading automotive coating specialist Zircotec has developed a range of 13 new coloured ceramic coatings that can be applied to components such as exhaust manifolds and, turbo housings to offer customisation as well as providing a thermal barrier that offers significant reductions in underbonnet temperatures. The process uses a derivative of Zircotec’s proven ThermoholdTM ceramic coating with a multi-layer ceramic paint finish in a choice of colours including red, green, blue, yellow, black, gold and silver.

XPart has expanded its AutoService centre network from one to 250 UK garages in less than three years, with the appointment of Leeford Motor Company in central Leeds. The network was created after the collapse of MG Rover in 2005 and was designed to provide owners with access to specialist, high-quality servicing from factory-trained technicians using genuine OE parts at affordable rates. The appointment makes XPart’s AutoService centre network one of the largest service and repair franchises in the UK.

Vehicle development engineers now have a new location for tilt table evaluations, as Millbrook further expands its testing capabilities at its Bedford headquarters
One of Europe’s largest tilt tables has been installed at Millbrook, the UK-based vehicle test and development centre. The facility can be used to determine static rollover thresholds and tilt operation capabilities for a wide range of SUVs, military and commercial vehicles, including buses, fire trucks, vans, ambulances, off-highway machines, cranes, stacker trucks and agricultural equipment.
