Flexible, lightweight yet durable ARPRO selected for stylish urban furniture at European summer festival
A stylish, temporary modular furniture system using ARPRO expanded polypropylene has been developed to provide durable and interchangeable urban seating. Asobi, a Slovenian multi-disciplinary design consultancy was tasked to develop an urban furniture system to be used in the main visitor areas during the Ljubljana Summer Festival.

P. Atkins Fuel Injection Ltd is helping to raise money for a children’s charity
WARWICK, UK — Gary Bell, director of P. Atkins Fuel Injection Ltd, a Delphi Service Centre in Mansfield, will join other Mini drivers in the pan-European rally, dubbed “The Italian Job” in tribute to the 1960’s Michael Caine film. Sponsored by Delphi Diesel Aftermarket, Gary and his friend, Phil Robinson from Ravenshead, will travel from Imola, Italy across the continent to Brighton over ten days in a bid to raise thousands of pounds for the children’s charity Kidsout.

As Tyre Safety Month concludes, TyreSafe encourages motorists to check their tread depth to remain safe on the road this winter
With one of the wettest summers on record, TyreSafe, the UK’s leading tyre safety organisation, is reminding drivers to check their tyre tread depth to stay safe on the roads this winter. Recent figures issued by the Department of Transport revealed that in 2007, November was the month which saw the highest number of personal injury accidents. To help reduce the figure this November, TyreSafe is reminding motorists to check tyre pressure and tread depth at least once a month to ensure their safety on the wet roads.

Two modules successfully launched with two additional modules planned in 2008
Delphi is expanding its Delphi Service Centre (DSC) offering to include new modules for petrol engine management and chassis, which will be available in late 2008. Delphi and Autocom AB announced that they will further strengthen their existing relationship, following discussions initiated in early 2008 to jointly invest in diagnostic development teams and resources. Dedicated Autocom engineers will be based within key Delphi facilities in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) to work with Delphi’s own engineering and service operation teams on targeted diagnostic development projects. The joint team will work to apply Delphi’s sizeable OE knowledge and technology to its range of diagnostic tools.

A UK consortium of specialists in hybrid vehicles is receiving funding from the Department for Transport, through the Energy Saving Trust’s Low Carbon R&D Programme, to support development of a retrofit solution for Zero Emissions driving. The new system will allow existing vans to operate as zero emissions vehicles, making them ideal for urban duty cycles.
