Twenty four semi-finalists participate in practical and theoretical tests at new Delphi training facility; Ninth annual competition gives top UK technicians a chance to win £2,500 at finals in May.
WARWICK, U.K. — Delphi (NYSE: DLPH) recently hosted the ninth annual ‘Top Technician 2012’ competition at its new training centre here. During the event 24 semi-finalist technicians competed in a half day of practical and theoretical assessments. The annual competition, hosted by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), was created in 2003 to recognise and reward the best vehicle technicians in the UK.

World-class facility supports localisation of suspension technologies for premium vehicles
Beijing– Global braking and chassis systems specialist BWI Group has opened a new plant in Fangshan, Beijing to support demand in China for premium vehicles. The 71,000m2 facility has started production of front struts and rear dampers for a Chinese joint venture with a premium vehicle manufacturer. A second, similar programme is due to launch in June.
